Biography
About Michael
Michael Chen brings 18 years of public health expertise across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. He holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's in Biology from UC Berkeley. His career began in community health clinics in rural Guangdong, China.
At Hope in Action, Michael oversees all eight program verticals, a team of 320 program staff, and partnerships with 45 health ministries worldwide. His signature achievement is the Community Health Worker model, now adopted by three national governments and recognized by WHO.
